A Group of ET Ride Superfans Played an Amazing Prank During a Recent Universal Orlando Trip, And There’s a Viral TikTok
With its newest attractions, Universal Orlando Resort has been dominating the scene in recent years. Two magnificent new thrill attractions, the Jurassic World Velocicoaster and Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, have been unveiled. Additionally, the kids’ section of Universal Studios Florida has undergone a tremendous renovation with the addition of a new DreamWorks Park. However, a recent viral TikTok demonstrates that often the most enjoyable rides are the vintage ones.
It also has the ability for you to speak with E.T. directly, which may be amusing if you play it well, as seen by a recently viral TikTok. Examine it. You are asked for your name when you check into E.T. Adventure, and when the ride is almost over, E.T. will address you by name—or, more accurately, by whatever name you give them. Although it’s supposed to be sentimental and unique, it’s hilarious when six males all pronounce their names Chuck, making E.T. sound like his record is skipping. These guys are no strangers to this journey; you know that.
E.T. Adventure, one of the most well-liked rides at Universal Studios Florida, has been around since the park’s opening and continues to be a popular attraction. Even though the attraction is clearly outdated now, it was previously state-of-the-art.
It’s fantastic, and the sort of thing that you just can’t do anymore simply because technology has largely passed this sort of thing by. Theme Park attractions have found other, arguably more impressive ways to personalize a ride experience for a guest, but due to technological advancement, creating this sort of moment is largely impossible now.

It’s a dark voyage, and E.T. Adventure is definitely getting on in years. Fans have long feared about its destruction because of this. It seems likely that something shiny and fresh will soon take the place of the ride. Though there is always a chance that it won’t return, E.T. Adventure has managed to survive thus far whenever it goes down for maintenance.
E.T. has most likely withstood the test of time because, in spite of its age, the trip is still quite remarkable. It’s still one of the longest rides I’ve ever taken, and it’s a hugely dark one. It’s practically two scary rides in one; in the first half, you’ll fly above the ground with E.T. and experience a story based on the popular film. Next, you go to E.T.’s home world, which was not shown in the film.
Universal Studios Florida has two other new attractions in which E.T. plays a significant role. Its soundtrack is featured in the fantastic Cinesational: A Symphonic Spectacular, and the recently launched Mega Movie Parade features an E.T. float. These nostalgic tidbits could be signs that the voyage isn’t quite finished.

Fans of Universal Orlando Resort are excited about the upcoming Epic Universe Park. It will be an entirely new gate full of new attractions using top-of-the-line technology. It’s sure to be impressive, but there is certainly fun to be had with the older rides too that fans won’t want to overlook.

Why Universal Orlando’s Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure May Be the Best Roller Coaster in Florida
Relatively less than two years ago, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure premiered to a level of excitement only surpassed by the Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s official opening. One of the largest thrill rides to open in recent memory was the new roller coaster. Despite some early setbacks (as most attractions do), the ride has remained one of the most well-liked attractions in both of Universal Orlando Resort’s theme parks.
In the present day, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is arguably the best roller coaster at any Florida amusement park, not only is it still fantastic. I recently had a chance to ride the attraction, and I honestly wasn’t prepared for how great it actually was. I was expecting to have fun, but the experience was far beyond those expectations. While I’m willing to accept that many people will have different opinions, there’s really no argument that Hagrid’s doesn’t belong in the conversation, and here are five reasons why it’s one the best, if not the best, of Florida’s roller coaster offerings.
Motorbike adventure vehicles in Hagrid’s Magical Creatures series
When you board Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, the carriage is what you see right away. This straightforward decision, which is intended to resemble Hagrid’s motorcycle and sidecar from the Harry Potter films, has a significant impact on the experience. It gives a re-rideability that roller coasters don’t usually have, but theme parks have. The experience of the ride will alter significantly depending on whether you are sitting in the sidecar or the motorbike seat. Not only are you not the same height, but so is your body position.
While the sidecar is a pretty traditional roller coaster vehicle setup and even the motorcycle positioning isn’t entirely unique, rarely do you find the ability to have both in the same roller coaster. You’re going to want to ride the roller coaster at least twice in order to get each experience because they’re different enough.
The Narrative of Animated Characters
The best theme park attractions are narrative in nature, but with roller coasters traveling at high speeds, there’s not much opportunity for storytelling. The majority of roller coasters don’t actually tell a story—at least not one that isn’t revealed during the ride. Hagrid’s, however, is very dissimilar. The on-ride story was created with no shortage of lavishness, even if you can read much of the plot in the queue. Here to tell you the tale are some pretty amazing animated characters, including Hagrid himself, some of whom have never been seen in the Harry Potter universe (not even in the films).
Excellent storytelling is effective for a variety of reasons. First, the race through the Forbidden Forest and the different ways the ride moves are part of the story. But beyond that, the ride actually slows down in a few places to make sure you get to really see what it has to show you. And while slowing down may seem like a bad thing on a roller coaster, it’s actually fun because each slow down means a brand-new launch at high speed.
It’s a Prolonged Journey
Because roller coasters are made to travel swiftly, one of their main issues is that they wear out quickly. That’s simply not how Hagrid’s work works. In actuality, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is the longest roller coaster in Florida in terms of track length. The ride lasts longer than many similar roller coasters, even though you still experience a majority of it at full speed, which might end the ride in a matter of seconds. Or at least that’s how it seems.
Hagrid’s ride is longer than many roller coasters, at roughly three minutes, but it’s not the longest in the business. Some of that added length is because the ride occasionally slows down to show you things, but that’s the beauty of the whole concept. Every time the ride begins to slow down, you wonder if it’s is about to come to an end, and then off you go on another launch. It’s an exciting feeling every time you realize that the ride isn’t over yet.
The Pace
I’m all about speed, but some people prefer roller coasters that twist, turn, corkscrew, and loop. Hagrid’s roller coaster, with a top speed of roughly fifty miles per hour, is by no means the fastest in the world. However, the ride is actually quite quick, especially considering the unusual riding vehicle. If you’re on the motorcycle side, you can either sit nearly erect and experience the wind coming from all directions, or you may lean into the wind.
At the end of the day, the experience matters more than the specifications, even when the roller coaster feels quicker than it actually is. The coaster takes up a decent amount of real estate, so it doesn’t feel crowded and everything has room to breathe. It feels more open than so many roller coasters that rely on corkscrews and loops because they don’t have as much space to work with.
The Dipper
Then there’s the instance where the roller coaster actually does something you most likely didn’t anticipate. The roller coaster physically descends down onto another level at one point, after the ride starts racing you backward instead of forward. It’s not the kind of sensation you expect on a roller coaster, so even though you know it’s there and you’re anticipating it, it’s still exciting. That’s part of the gimmick in a plethora of other theme park attractions, but not roller coasters.
It is a fact that nothing on this list is exclusive to Hagrid’s Motorbike Adventure with Magical Creatures. All of the items are available elsewhere, but not all of them in one convenient location like this one. Hagrid’s is a roller coaster experience that is well worth standing in line for or paying more for the express pass because of this exceptional mix.
How long will Hagrid’s remain the greatest is the question. There are two brand-new roller coasters being built at Walt Disney World: Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Epcot and Tron Light Cycle Power Run at Magic Kingdom. Adjacent to Hagrid’s, Universal Orlando Resort boasts a Velocicoaster of its own, which sounds like something truly remarkable. Each of these certainly has the potential to be an even better coaster in at least some of these categories, but even then, it will be difficult for any of them to be quite as unique as Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
