Ghosted plot

Inside a Washington, D.C. Sadie, who is lonely, meets Cole, a needy seller, in the farmers’ market. After a fun-filled all-night date that ends in sex, Cole goes home, but Sadie does not respond to his texts. Cole finds Sadie using a tracker on his inhaler that he unintentionally left in her backpack. Although Sadie’s sister believes Cole is “ghosting” her, their parents persuade him to surprise her in London.

Arms traffickers in London kidnap Cole to Pakistan because they think he’s the infamous “the Taxman,” a CIA operative. Sadie saves him and identifies herself as the Taxman before he can be tormented with insects to get a passcode.

They beat their kidnappers, who are affiliated with Leveque, a discredited French intelligence operative who is selling a stolen bioweapon known as “Aztec” and is in need of the password, after a chase through the Khyber Pass.

When Sadie and Cole get to a nearby town, they fight about their mutual lies and run across Marco, an old acquaintance and ex-boyfriend. He offers to take Cole home after warning him that Sadie is more concerned with the mission’s success than the lives of her boyfriends. After Leveque places a price on Cole’s head, a series of bounty hunters foil their plot; Marco is slain, but the bounty hunters also murder each other. Sadie is resolved to retrieve Aztec by using Cole as bait after learning that Leveque is looking for the passcode.

What Is Ghosted About?

Ghosted’s official synopsis, available on Apple, says this:

Earthly salt After falling madly in love with the mysterious Sadie (de Armas), Cole (Evans) learns the stunning truth: she is a covert operative. Cole and Sadie are whisked off on a global adventure to save the planet before they can decide on a second date.
Early reviews of the movie linked Ghosted to the iconic 1980s romance Romancing the Stone, which followed Kathleen Turner’s character Joan Wilder, a single romance writer who ventures beyond her cozy New York City apartment into the dangerous jungles of Colombia, She travels to defend her sister from thieves who want to steal a valuable treasure, and while doing so, she falls in love with a daring explorer named Jack T. Colton (Michael Douglas).

Who Is the Director of Ghosted?

Dexter Fletcher is the director of Ghosted. Actor Fletcher started off in his career. During the beginning of his career, he starred in a number of indie British films, including Caravaggio, The Rachel Papers, and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. In addition, he played Staff Sergeant John Martin in the critically acclaimed HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, which was helmed by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. In the crime comedy-drama Wild Bill, directed by Fletcher, he made his directorial debut as Bill Hayward, a man out on parole after eight years in prison who returns home to find his sons living alone and abandoned by their mother.

He shot to international fame with his second film, Sunshine on Leith, a jukebox musical adapted to The Proclaimers songs. He has since contributed to other rock-themed films. Fletcher took over as the uncredited director of the Oscar-winning Freddie Mercury drama Bohemian Rhapsody after Bryan Singer was forced to step down. He oversaw Taron Egerton’s performance in Rocketman, a jukebox musical biography about Elton John, the following year, and both the film’s directing and Egerton’s performance won critical acclaim. He directed two episodes of the Paramount+ series The Offer this past year, which traced the creation of Francis Ford Coppola’s iconic film The Godfather. Maggie Lovitt of Collider gave the limited series an A+ rating and a raving review.

Who Is in the Cast of Ghosted?

In the movie Ghosted, Ana De Armas will portray Sadie, an enigmatic young lady who wins Cole’s attention. Naturally, Sadie isn’t your typical romantic partner from a romantic comedy; in reality, she is a CIA covert agent now engaged in one of her most audacious operations to date.

After relocating to Spain, De Armas continued her career in Cuba, where she rose to fame as the lead character in the adolescent soap opera El Internado. Knock, a moralist horror film about a married guy who has a one-night affair with two young ladies and pays the price when they refuse to go, was her debut English-language role in 2015.

The following year, she was praised for her performance as the well-known Panamanian boxer Roberto Duran’s wife in the film Hands of Stone. In the 2017 film Blade Runner 2049, De Armas landed her first major role as the holographic AI girlfriend of the main character, Joi. Her most well-known part, Marta in Knives Out, which led to her first Golden Globe nomination, replaced this one. In the James Bond movie No Time to Die, she played Paloma, a part that stole the show. She most recently acted in Netflix’s Blonde, a film in which she portrays the legendary Marilyn Monroe of Old Hollywood, earning the actress a nomination for her first Academy Award. Next, de Armas will head the spin-off and enter the John Wick universe.

Originally slated to play de Armas, Scarlett Johansson withdrew owing to schedule issues. Concurrently, Evans and Johansson were supposed to work together again on Project Artemis, an Apple movie, but Evans had to back out of the part because of schedule issues.

The male hero in the movie, Cole Riggan, played by Chris Evans, is a sincere and kind person who develops a deep romantic attachment to Sadie. Unaware that the woman of his dreams is actually a great spy, Cole travels to Europe when she abruptly stops replying to his texts.

In the early 2000s, Evans gained popularity as a teenage hottie in films such as Not Another Teen Movie.
