According to the corporation, June 4, 2024 will mark the global premiere of the hilarious comedy spectacular Jo Koy: Live from Brooklyn on Netflix.
In November 2023, the special was taped in Brooklyn, New York’s THE KINGS Theatre. After his variety show In His Elements (2020) and Live from The Los Angeles Forum (2022), Comin’ In Hot (2019), and Live from Seattle (2017), this is Koy’s seventh special on Netflix.

Jo Koy has inked an agreement to expand his partnership with Netflix, bringing his next pair of stand-up comedy specials to the streaming service. The next specials, which will be Koy’s fifth and sixth with Netflix, are scheduled to tape at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on November 10 and 11, with a projected 2024 release date. That special is being produced by Art & Industry.
Produced by Art & Industry, the first of the two new specials will tape on November 10 and 11 at Brooklyn, New York’s Kings Theatre. In 2024, the special will make its debut.
Currently on his “Jo Koy World Tour,” Koy will play three sold-out gigs in Guam this weekend (a fourth has just been added). “Jo Koy: Live At The Los Angeles Forum,” his most recent Netflix special, debuted in September 2022. His June 2020 Netflix special, “Jo Koy: In His Elements,” was filmed in Manila and included B-boys, DJs, and comedians who are Filipino-American in addition to local culture.
Other one-hour standup specials that the Filipino comic has done for Netflix are titled “Live from Seattle” in 2017 and “Comin’ In Hot” in 2019. Based on his stand-up comedy, Koy appeared in the film “Easter Sunday” from Universal Pictures last year. The animated fantasy action comedy “The Monkey King,” which debuts on Netflix on August 18 worldwide, will feature him next. Starring with her are BD Wong, Stephanie Hsu, Jimmy O. Koy’s Funny Is Funny World Tour beginning in 2022 with a sold-out event in Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena (more than 14,000 tickets), and it concluded with a sold-out performance at Tacoma Dome (more than 19,000 tickets). Easter Sunday, a 2022 Universal Picture comedy centered on a family celebration, stars Koy and was inspired by stand-up comedy and Koy’s own experiences. At The Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall in Honolulu, where she sold 23,000 tickets and 11 sold-out events in 2017, Koy broke the record for the most tickets sold by a single artist.
