Media reviews

The documentary series delivers tonnes of compelling anecdotes about unusual habits, amazing situations, and fanciful happenings in history that may or may not be explained away by science,” said Melissa Camacho, a reviewer for Common Sense Media, who rated the show three out of five stars. Spiritualists’ and paranormal believers’ explanations are frequently “far more compelling than the scholarly research and objective evidence being supplied,” according to Camacho, who also claims that “sceptics will find much of what The UnXplained has to offer impossible to take seriously. According to Rory Mellon of Tom’s Guide, the programme has risen to the top 10 Netflix viewed shows. Mellon states that “The UnXplained covers a hell of a lot of stuff, some of it not very solid either.” Mellon issued a warning: “This oddly appealing series will probably pull you in even if it doesn’t actually provide many clear answers. If all you can do is enjoy the atmosphere of mystery.”
